Zoning and The First Amendment1 Hour Illinois MCLE Credit Course overview: Steven M. Elrod, partner in Holland & Knight LLP and nationally recognized land use and zoning law attorney will discuss cases of critical importance and high public interest involving municipal zoning issues and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. Among the topics that will be covered are religious displays, public fora, adult entertainment uses, and the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000. The course will analyze United States Supreme Court cases and the fact patterns of zoning and land use cases from jurisdictions throughout the country.
