Policies and Terms of Use

You should view the courses you want credit for before you register for the courses. Your registration includes your certification that you have viewed the course(s). Once you have registered and paid for the course, your name will be included in the records we keep under the Rules of the MCLE Board of people who have taken a course, so we cannot refund any amounts paid for courses.

If you have any difficulty viewing a course, please first consult your IT professional. That person is the one who is most familiar with your system and who is most likely to be able to help you.

The most common problem you are likely to encounter is trying to view the course on a computer that does not have audio-video hardware. This is rarely a problem on home computers, but some law firm and corporate computers do not have the required hardware.

The second most common problem is trying to view the course on a computer that does not have multimedia software loaded. The required software is available for download free at http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/ If you continue to have problems please email our technical staff at technical@mentorcle.com

The content of these courses is not intended as legal advice and should not be relied upon by persons who need legal advice. Those persons should consult an attorney. These courses are intended solely as educational materials for attorneys, who are advised to do their own research and verify all information before advising their clients.

Purchasers of a course receive a license for a single person to view the video. No video or any other part of a course may be used as part of any seminar, presentation, course, lecture, continuing education program, or other publication or presentation, and no person other than the purchaser may receive continuing education credit for viewing the video or any other part of a course. Using the video or any other part of a course except as provided herein shall constitute a violation of this Policy and Terms of Use and is a violation of copyright law.

Persons who wish to register for a course but who cannot afford the course fee due to financial hardship may be eligible for a scholarship and should send a letter explaining the nature of the hardship, along with supporting documentation, to: P.O. Box 2324, Northbrook, IL 60065.
